Elise Perkins founded ep communications, a consulting practice specializing in content strategy, in 2014.
For her clients, she provides traditional and digital marcomms services including content creation, social media management, brand coaching, and broader consulting.
Elise views herself as a natural extension of her clients’ teams, and also partners frequently with boutique PR firms to round out large-scale engagements. Based outside of DC, her clients have spanned from the West to the East Coast, and all the way down to Brazil.
Her writing has appeared on Spin Sucks, Waxing UnLyrical, The Hill, the Lead Change Group, the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Domain Name Association, and more.
Elise cut her teeth in the communications field at The Financial Services Roundtable (now the Bank Policy Institute), a Washington DC-based trade association, during the financial crisis. Prior to starting her own firm, she most recently served as Director of Communications and Marketing at the Committee for Economic Development, where she worked on re-invigorating its brand before the merger with the Conference Board.
A graduate of Dickinson College, Elise is a former board member of Washington Women in Public Relations. She lives in Maryland with her husband and son. Her claims to fame include that she once sang at the Vatican, and holds the school record at Deerfield Elementary for the sixth grade relay race. She is an avid reader of cookbooks, and firmly believes that pineapple belongs on pizza.
